About us

View of the church with hillside in the background
We are a group of people in Reeth and the surrounding area coming from a wide range of backgrounds but united by a belief in Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour and Lord, a willingness to learn from his word, the Bible, and a longing to put his teaching into practice in our everyday lives. We have found in Him real purpose for this life and real hope for the next.

We believe that Christianity is the truth about God and about life and that God speaks personally and directly today through the Bible.

Our desire is that other people, by putting their trust in Christ, might also experience the presence of God in their lives.

We are an independent church linked to the Evangelical Fellowship of Congregational Churches and to other like-minded churches in the area.

Our minister is Rev David Levell.

For anyone interested in learning more we can arrange informal sessions looking at the basics of the  Christian faith and life.  Details of how to find us or get in touch are here.

The church has close links with the Old Temperance Christian Bookshop a few minutes’ walk away.   To contact the Bookshop phone 01748 884185 or email: Elizabeth Gregson

Accessibility

Privacy & Data Protection

Picture
There are several quite shallow steps and a handrail at the front of the church but easier access is available via a ramp at the side of the building.

Toilets, including disabled facilities, are in the schoolroom at the rear of the church.

A loop system is in use during services.

Large print hymn books and Bibles are available.

Space has been made for pushchairs and wheelchairs in front of the rear pew.  Services are also relayed into the vestry and schoolroom for the benefit of anyone who would like to take out young children.
