In 2014 we began an extensive programme of repairs and refurbishment to bring the church building up to date and make it more fit for purpose. These included providing an accessible entrance and WC, upgrading the kitchen, improving the heating system and general repairs and redecoration of the fabric. This was made possible by generous donations from church members and many other churches and individuals, and by grants from the many bodies listed below. We are especially grateful to our trustees, The Evangelical Fellowship of Congregational Churches (EFCC) for grants and support, and to the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme for the return of VAT on much of the work.
Phase One
The uneven path and steps to the side door were replaced by a non-slip ramp leading to a wheelchair accessible covered entrance.
