Our Harvest Thanksgiving weekend includes a Saturday morning drop-in for Coffee & Cake and a Harvest Supper, as well as the usual Sunday services, following which the non-perishable Harvest gifts are sent to support Caring for Life in Leeds, a Christian charity sharing the love of Jesus through offering compassionate, consistent care for those who have 'slipped through the net'.
This year, due to building work, they have very limited storage space on site for physical donations and have requested financial gifts instead if possible. Any money donated will buy fresh and cupboard foods for food parcels, supply their supported living homes and enable them to prepare daily meals at the farm, throughout the coming year. If you would like to donate, please place your gift in the boxes at the back of the church in an envelope marked ‘Caring for Life’. Cheques should be made payable to Reeth Evangelical Congregational Church.
Everyone is welcome to our Harvest Supper - if you can let us know in advance that you're coming it would be helpful but not essential The speaker this year is Steve Mitchinson.
